Honorary Court Member  At the meeting of the Court on 13th March 2006

Liveryman Mike Cottell OBE was admitted as an Honorary Court Member.  The Standing Orders of the Company provide for Liverymen who have given distinguished or exceptional service to the Company, but because of age or other reasons are not eligible to become an Assistant to be admitted as Honorary Members of the Court.

Mike Cottell, now in his 75th year, was admitted to the Company as a Liveryman on 29th.November 1994.  He is a regular attendee at Livery functions and was a member of the Livery Committee for four years.  He was one of the first Stewards and editor of the Pavior in 2001-02.  He has served on the Marketing Committee and is currently co opted to the Charity Committee.  Mike has organised the Paviors Award for excellence in paving since its inception in 2000. Mike is a member of the Golfing Society, the Luncheon Club and the Wine Circle - a truly active Pavior.

Honorary Court Members are members of the Court for life.  They may attend the Installation Court and, on invitation of the Master, other Court meetings and functions.  They may be invited to speak at any Court meeting they attend, but may not vote.

Editor's Farewell  This is the last issue of The Pavior that I as Editor will compile.  It has been a most interesting 2 years and I would like to thank all Paviors for their support and contributions over the 6 issues.  I wish my successor James Dickson, who will produce the August Issue, every success in his endeavours.  I am sure he will find it a great way to get to know the workings of the Company and he will meet many interesting and helpful Liverymen in the process.  Thank you all!
