PAVIORS LECTURE 2006
14th February 2006
T5: History in the Making?
Andrew Wolstenholme Projects Director, BAA
To be held in Imperial College, South Kensington
The annual Paviors' Lecture will be delivered by Andrew Wolstenholme, who is the Projects Director for the new, prestigious Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport. It promises to provide a fascinating insight into one of the most important construction projects in the country, which involves novel ideas both in design and construction as well as in terms of teamwork and management. The lecture will be targeted both to Liverymen and their guests and to the College's students. As usual, there will be a period for discussion after the lecture.
Full details will be sent to members of the Company in December but everyone is encouraged to note the date now and make every effort to attend, what should be a memorable occasion.
The Lecture has been increasing in importance in recent years and is on its way to becoming a significant event in the calendar of both the Company and the wider construction industry. A written version of the Lecture is now published each year in the Institution of Civil Engineer's journal 'Civil Engineering'.
Please contact Stephen Brown for further information in the interim.
