Support for Education

A significant part of the Company's charitable giving is expended on education, mostly in the form of postgraduate bursaries, grants and prizes to support students at various levels.

A bursary made to the Guildhall School of Music is part of the Company’s aim to support the cultural dimension of the City. The candidates have all been of high calibre, and some have performed for at Company dinners.

The Paviors Laing Travel Award is made to a post-graduate civil engineering student at Imperial College. Each year the Company also sponsors the Paviors Lecture held at Imperial College to bring leading personalities from the Industry before the undergraduate students.
